This Safeguarding Policy at Umbrella Health and Wellbeing is crafted with a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all individuals participating in our therapeutic sessions. As the sole therapist and director of Umbrella Health and Wellbeing, I prioritise the well-being and safety of children, young people, and adults in every setting where our services are offered. Throughout this policy, the use of "we" and "our" refers to myself as the director and the organisation as a whole, acknowledging my sole responsibility and dedication to safeguarding.

1. Purpose: The purpose of this Safeguarding Policy is to outline our dedication to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of individuals involved in our therapeutic sessions. This policy sets forth our procedures for identifying, reporting, and responding to safeguarding concerns.
2. Principles: The welfare of participants is our top priority. Every individual has the right to protection from harm, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality, or beliefs. We adhere to the safeguarding policies of schools where sessions are conducted and collaborate with designated safeguarding leads to address any concerns or complaints.
3. Scope: This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, and therapists associated with Umbrella Health and Wellbeing, as well as individuals participating in our therapeutic sessions.
4. Safeguarding Procedures: All staff, volunteers, and therapists receive training on safeguarding procedures and adhere to relevant policies and guidelines. Participants are informed about their rights and encouraged to report any concerns or incidents to the designated safeguarding lead in the school or directly to the director. Safeguarding concerns are reported to the designated safeguarding lead in the school immediately, and appropriate action is taken in accordance with school policies. We maintain transparent communication with schools and relevant authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of participants.
5. Reporting Procedure: Any safeguarding concerns should be reported to the designated safeguarding lead in the school where the session is conducted. Concerns can also be reported directly to the director of Umbrella Health and Wellbeing. We take all safeguarding concerns seriously and ensure that they are addressed promptly and effectively.

6. Review and Monitoring: This Safeguarding Policy is reviewed and updated regularly to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with relevant legislation and best practices. Staff, volunteers, and therapists receive ongoing training and support to enhance awareness of safeguarding issues.
